A simile about the
oppression of righteousness, these words of
Jeremy Taylor could well have been inspired
by the dawn at Mandinam where he lived after
the trials and troubles of the civil war.
Mandinam is a large and comfortable
farmhouse set on the side of a hill overlooking the Towy
valley near Llandeilo and surrounded by spectacular walking country. Mandinam is a working farm of 450 acres on which we keep pedigree Herefords and a small flock of sheep.
There are log fires and spacious comfortable rooms in the house where guests are welcomed and encouraged to make themselves at home. Meals are cooked using sourced local and organic food wherever possible.
A few yards from the house, the top floor of a coachouse has been made into a light and spacious self contained room. Here there is a log-burning stove, armchairs and a private terrace overlooking a breath taking view of the Towy valley.
In the courtyard is the New Room, a small listed farm building recently converted to make a luxurious suite complete with four poster bed made by local craftsman, Gallery with T.V. and en suite bath and shower with underfloor heating.
