Shepherds Hut
The concept of the shepherd's hut is in response to our visitors who love the idea of having the experience of living in the countryside and getting a bit of the rural action while enjoying a bit of eco friendly living in a wonderful space that incorporates "green" with comfort. The hut is large. We have put it on the edge of a glade overlooking views of the hills beyond and a distant Iron Age fort. A beautiful metal verandah is in place before the front door, and from there you could drink your morning coffee on a fine day, or enjoy a drink in the evening in the wonderful peace and quiet.
The hut is fully insulated and contains a wood burning stove which will keep you warm even on the coldest winter day. The double bed is at the back and has a small ladder to get into it. There is small belfast sink, and for the days when you don't want to barbeque, a gas double burner with a small grill. There is a separate mobile shower room, the water being heated by solar panel on the roof and boosted by another log burner fed from the outside. The loo, also mobile and separate, is a biological loo again with a wonderful view!

You could come by train to complete the green theme and we could collect you from Llangadog station 2 ½ miles away. Or you could come in your car. There is plenty of space to park. This is a place for everyone. Dreamers, greenies, adventurers or just those of you who simply want to get away from it all.
Pictured below is one of the views from the Shepherds Hut: looking westward towards Garn Goch near the small village of Bethlehem.
