Accommodation
There are two rooms available for bed and breakfast. The New room, which has been recently renovated from an ancient building across the courtyard, has a fourposter bed , bathroom with underfloor heating and a small gallery for watching T.V. or sulking. The Coachouse room, also in a separate building is rustic and comfortable with log burning stove , armchairs, and its own private terrace overlooking a spectacular view.
And now there is a Shepherds Hut set far away from the house, out of sight beside a lake, overlooking the Iron age fort and distant hills beyond. This is an ecological and unique self catering experience.
Daniella loves cooking and can provide for special diets and favoured foods if given plenty of notice. Most of the meals will be in the dining room with red walls and ancient refectory table. Through the french window you can see the lawn where you can play croquet in the Summer or just enjoy a drink looking at the view before coming in for a delicious dinner.
The Drawing Room, with its crackling log fire, offers a relaxing place to sit and is available to guests staying in either room at any time of the day.
For those guests who really can't relax without checking their emails, there is broadband available via a router - so if you bring your lap top you will be able to go on line.
